I’m Dave, a driving instructor who genuinely loves what I do. I have been teaching with the wonderful Calm team since December 2024.
There’s nothing quite like helping someone go from nervous first lesson to confidently passing their test. Watching people achieve their goals—whether that’s mastering roundabouts or finally nailing that parallel park—it never gets old for me.

When I’m not in the car, you’ll usually find me out walking my dogs, clearing my head on the local trails, or plotting my next horror novel. (Don’t worry—none of my fictional monsters have ever made an appearance during a lesson. Yet.)

My background is a colourful mix of jobs and experiences, and it’s taught me how to work with all kinds of people. Whether you’re a complete beginner, a returning driver, or someone who just needs a confidence boost, I’m here to make learning enjoyable, relaxed, and tailored to you.
